Our Online Module
Kids take part in weekly instructor led live sessions. The classes are grouped based on their grade(Primary,Junior,Secondary), with a maximum class size of 10 for easy engagement. Our online classes are governed by these principles:
How Our Online Module Works
LIVE PRACTICAL SESSIONS
Kids are added to our online virtual classrooms where they learn how to code live. The classes last for 1hr:30mins, where 1hr=instructor applies principles to projects and students replicate; 30min=students do practical coding by themselves through projects and instructor supervises. These classes are scheduled to run twice a week.
ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION
Because our classes are live, students get to engage with their instructors and fellow students in real-time. Their virtual class platform allows them to chat and video-talk live. They can share screens and see their instructors screen and workbench as well. This adds some social and emotional elements to their learning.
ADDITIONAL Q&A SESSIONS
Later in the week, students can take part in an additional 30mins Q&A session with an instructor where they ask questions on misunderstood coding concepts and are guided on their projects.
REVIEW AND LESSONS RECORDED
Every live class is automatically recorded and made available after the class. Students can log on to their portals and download the lessons as well as other lesson materials such as timetables, curriculum, and lesson guides any time.
VERY FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
Our curriculum is very flexible and attuned to the student. Each level takes 2-3 months to complete depending on the student’s pace. Promotion to the next level is by students mastering the coding concepts and completing an end of level project successfully. We also have private one-on-one tuition for parents who will want that for their kids.
PROMPT CORRESPONDENCE WITH PARENTS
Parent-teacher meetings – A few lessons after the course starts, parents are invited to a parent-teacher meeting to get to know the teacher and familiarize themselves with the course content.
Periodic progress emails – During the course, parents receive emails updating them on class progress.
Lesson reminders – Parents receive emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages notifying them about their child’s upcoming classes.
Absence alert email – When a child doesn’t show up to class, their parent receives an email update, offering help if necessary.
24/7 LEARNING COMMUNITY
Every student is automatically added to our learning community or forum where they can share their ideas, lessons and questions, and get a response from instructors and their friends. The community is managed by the teacher and helps students get engaged outside class hours.
