For An Awesome Coding Experience
Every child is a genius. Every child can be given the atmosphere and know-how to create and invent and bring the genius out of them. But ‘How can they know if they have not been taught, and how can they be taught if they have not had a teacher’ ~ Paul of Tarsus. This is where Kids CanCode comes in to provide personalized and practical coding tuition for kids of all stages. Get in touch with us and let’s get your child to start coding.
Our multi-year curriculum allows each student to build their personal track. Kids can enter at any stage and continue their studies for one to six years. Kids are put in one of three(3) levels:
- PRIMARY
- JUNIOR
- SENIOR
Curriculum
PRIMARY
For kids in the Primary school level, between the ages of 6 – 12 yrs. This class begins with coding fundamentals, an introduction to programming using a block-based introductory programming language called Scratch. Scratch takes advantage of advances in computing power and interface design to make programming more engaging and accessible for children, computational concepts such as iteration, conditionals, variables, data types, events, and processes. Students can create programs that control and mix graphics, animations, music, and sound.
JUNIOR
For kids in the Junior High school level, who are between the ages of 12-15 yrsWe introduce Students to cs concepts through visual programming. We offer lessons that bridge the gap between what is taught in school and programming concepts. We take students through projects that develop their skills. In the next levels, they will be introduced to physical computing and advanced level lessons like web programming.
SENIOR
For students in the Senior High and Tertiary school level, from the ages of 15+ yrs. This class takes students through CS Concepts like threads, broadcasting, event handling game theory through visual programming. Students will apply these cs concepts in interactive arts, games and simulations. We offer students a chance to work on their own projects with supervision.
